Badminton World Rankings – December 2017
Starting off with the men’s singles and it has been a terrific year for Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen as he became the World Champion and World number one and he remains top as 2017 comes to a close.

Now to the women’s singles and Tai Tzu Ying remains the dominant force in the women’s game having been at the top of the rankings for over a year.

Meanwhile switching focus to the mixed doubles sees China taking three out of the top five places in the rankings with Zheng Siwei and Chen Qingchen ending the year ranked number one. England’s Chris Adcock and Gabrielle Adcock manage a good end to the year managing fifth place.

The men’s doubles saw Indonesian pair Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo end the year as the best pair followed by Denmark’s Mathias Boe and Carsten Mogensen at number two.

Round off the look at the end of year badminton world rankings are the women’s mixed doubles in which Chinese pair Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan can feel pleased finishing the year at number one. Japan has two pairs in the top five with the other spot going to Denmark.
