What are the best badminton racket brands? or simply what are the best badminton brands for all your needs? That’s the question I intend to answer in this article. I’ll be looking into the history of each company along with what each company has to offer in their product ranges.
Some brands do everything from rackets, shuttlecocks, nets and clothing, whilst other focus on one or two.
I’m going to take a look some of the badminton brands you may know and several you aren’t as familiar with. That way you can make a more informed decision next time you’re choosing a new racket, footwear or other badminton equipment!

What Are The Best Badminton Racket Brands?
Let’s take a closer look at each of the eleven badminton brands listed above. Some of these you will know and some you might not depending on the part of the world you live in.
Yonex
One of if not the biggest name in badminton. If you follow the professional side of the sport you can’t have failed to notice the prominence Yonex has within it. Yonex badminton rackets are some of the very best and are used by many of the top players.
Professional players sponsored by Yonex, and therefore use their rackets include, Viktor Axelsen (Denmark), Akane Yamaguchi (Japan), An Se Young (Korea), Lakshya Sen (India), Carolina Marin (Spain), Michelle Li (Canada) and Delphine Delrue (France) to name just a few.
Currently Yonex have several different racket brands to choose from:

- Isometric
- Muscle Power
- Nanoflare 1000
- Nanoflare

- Voltric
Yonex also produce a range of clothing, footwear, bags, shuttlecocks, strings, grips and other accessories. If it’s to do with badminton they make it, including stringing machines.
The Japanese company was founded in 1946 but it was only in 1957 they began to manufacture badminton rackets. Yonex has and still is at the forefront of driving the sport forward with the use of the latest technology and materials.
Yonex are also one of the sport’s biggest sponsors. In fact they sponsor many tournaments. Due to the popularity of the Yonex there are plenty of counterfeit Yonex badminton rackets floating around so buyer beware.
Victor
The other big name when it comes to badminton equipment has to be Victor. The Taiwanese company was founded in 1968 and their products are now available in more than 60 countries spanning some five continents.
Victor has really come to the forefront of the sport not only producing excellent equipment, especially on the badminton racket side but they also sponsor many of the tournaments.
Their racket line-up includes the following ranges:

- DriveX
- Jetspeed
- Thruster
New racket additions in 2023 include, the DriveX 10 Metallic B, Thruster 15II H and Auraspeed 33H C.
Victor has a full badminton line-up of products that includes shoes, bags, apparel, accessories and other equipment.
Well know players sponsored by Victor include, Tai Tzu Ying, Wang Tzu Wei, Kenta Nishimoto, Apriyani Rahayu and Cheryl Seinen.
Ashaway
Ashaway is an American company founded all the way back in 1824. They started off manufacturing fishing line. However in 1949 they began making racket strings. Skip forward to 2009, and the company introduced the ZyWeave core technology. This was believed to be the thinnest badminton string ever produced.
Their current racket ranges include:
- Phantom Helix
- Phantom X Speed II
- Phantom X Fire II
- Vex Striker
The Phantom Helix which is rated as a medium stiff flex, with a well balanced head. The weight comes in at 85g. Moving on to the Phantom X Speed II sees another 85g racket but this one comes with a much stiffer flex. It’s also favoured by many of the sponsored Ashaway professional players. Lastly is the Phantom X Fire II which is the heaviest at 89g and also has the stiffest frame.
Ashaway’s product line-up typically retails between £115 / €133 – £150 / €174. They do have some cheaper offerings with their Vex Striker range which offers great value at around £55 / €65 price point.

Wilson
The Wilson Sporting Goods Company aka Wilson is a manufacturer of various sports equipment including badminton. They are based in Chicago, Illinois, USA. However they have been owned by the Finnish group Amer Sports since 1989.
Their badminton racket line-up currently includes the following models:
- Fierce CX9000 CV
- Fierce CX6000 EX Zone
- Recon PX9000 TWS
- Recon PX5000 TWS
These high end rackets range between £100 – £180. Wilson also offer badminton sets at the entry level.
You have probably heard of and are aware of the badminton racket brands we just covered but let’s take a look at some of the others.
Li Ning
The Chinese brand was founded in 1989 by Li Ning, a former Olympic gymnast. It provides various sporting goods including clothing, footwear and of course badminton rackets .
Li Ning has fast become a big name in badminton. Their product range offers something for the more casual player as well as having some of the best professional grade badminton rackets . Currently their product line-up includes the following brands:

FZ Forza
FZ Forza is a Danish company that provide an excellent range of racquets along with nice clothing and footwear range. Their badminton range is made up of six main brands which easy to understand.

FX Forza also produce shuttlecocks so they really do have all of your badminton needs covered.
Carlton
This one’s another of the brands that offer plenty of options for the beginner or casual player, included badminton sets. They also have a professional range of rackets. That means Carlton do a great job in offering something in every price range from £10 – £160.

The Aeroblade, Elite, Solar, Spark and Tornado ranges are aimed at those new to the sport. Meanwhile at the high end come the, Kinesis Vortex and Vapour Trail brands.
Other than rackets, Carlton also offer a range of shuttlecocks and footwear.
Oliver Badminton
Founded in 1938 by Jack Oliver in Adelaide, Australia, the Oliver Racket Company began as a tennis and squash racket producer. Oliver Badminton has now established itself as a worldwide brand with Europe and the UK, proving to be a key market for its badminton rackets and supplies.
Oliver split their badminton racket offerings into to categories, Professional and Club. Their professional rackets, typically start at around the £100 price point, and includes the following ranges:

Meanwhile their club range offers great value with pricing starting around the £40 mark going all the way up to up the £100 price point. Club brands/models include:

Oliver also has a great range of badminton footwear, bags and clothing.
Talbot-Torro
This German / British brand may not be the best known of all the racket makers. It was actually formed from a merger between two companies. Former British badminton player Derek Talbot formed his company following his retirement from the sport. However the company was taken over during the nineties by Schildkröt Sportarticles.
Meanwhile The Torro Company started off life in Hamburg in Germany during the eighties. However by 1992 the Talbot and Torro companies merged becoming the Talbot-Torro brand we see today.
The company have three main product lines;
- Isoforce
- Arrowspeed
- Sportline
The Isoforce and Arrowspeed are considered to be the more serious or pro ranges. These typically retail in the region of £30 – £70.
Meanwhile the Sportline range is firmly aimed at the casual player and this is reflected in the price. Prices can range from £8 – £30 with the high price often containing two or four rackets.
Babolat
Babolat are another of the suppliers that have a pretty complete product line-up. The sell everything you could need such as racquets, shuttlecocks, strings, grips, bags and shoes. As with many sports equipment makers there also produce a full tennis range too.
Their badminton racket ranges include the following:
- I-Pulse
- Satelite
- Satelite Gravity
- Satelite Origin
- X-Feel
- X-Feel Origin
The I-Pulse range is aimed at the beginner level of player, whilst the Satelite Gravity offers a great experience for intermediate and advanced players.
Babolat market the X-Feel Origin and Satelite Origin at the experienced singles player. Meanwhile Babolat X-Feel range combines both precision and power. This range is aimed at, as the name suggests, experienced players who want a racquet with plenty of feel.
Their cheapest offerings are around the £30 price point, going all the way up to £180.
Apacs
Once only available in asia, Apacs badminton equipment can now be purchased in the United Kingdom and Europe.
They have a full racquet line-up including pricing from under £20 to over £100. Foray and Ziggler are two of their current range. As well as racquets their also sell clothing and footwear along with bags, shuttlecocks and various accessories.
These are the most popular badminton brands. There are of course a few other smaller companies that also make various pieces of badminton equipment.
Bonus Badminton Brands
Felet
One of the lesser known brands certainly in Europe would be the Malaysian company Felet. They manufacture everything from rackets, shuttlecocks, clothing, footwear and bags to string machines.
The Felet racket range includes:

Final Thoughts
These are our favourite or best badminton brands currently producing rackets. Most of them also produce other badminton supplies such as footwear, bags, clothing and shuttlecocks.
You may have heard of many of these brands with most easily obtainable in the UK and worldwide. A few of them are only available in certain regions of the world which is a shame.
