Yonex have turned their attention to the Arcsaber series badminton rackets with a redesign aimed at improving on an already good product. The new Yonex Arcsaber 11 2022 edition rackets come in three different models, PRO, TOUR and PLAY.
Yonex claim in their tests the new model saw 6.6% increase in shuttle contact time, and 3.7% increase in smash power in comparison to the previous Arcsaber 11.
The new Yonex Arcsaber 11 rackets are scheduled for a global launch on 25th February 2022.
Yonex Arcsaber 11 Rackets
Yonex has made the following improvements to the range.
ENHANCED ARCSABER FRAME

“Control with confidence through this unique frame structure with varying levels of flex from top, sides, to bottom, built to increase shuttle hold while reducing instability and twisting at impact.”
– Yonex
CONTROL-ASSIST BUMPER + POCKETING BOOSTER

“The CONTROL-ASSIST BUMPER is a connected grommet attached at the top of the frame. This bumper contains T-ANCHOR, micro-sized tetrapods that lock onto the strings. By locking onto the strings, unwanted string movements are reduced to improve accuracy.”
– Yonex
The Pro and Tour models has the top of the frame lined with a Pocketing Booster which is a proprietary rubber-like material emphasizing elasticity in the frame’s flex.
ISOMETRIC

“The new ARCSABER 11 has an expanded ISOMETRIC face in comparison to the previous model. The expansion allows for a larger, more forgiving sweet spot.”
– Yonex

Yonex also have a set of new racquet bags with matching designs to accompany the launch of the new Arcsaber badminton rackets.

This all sounds very impressive but can Yonex still keep that Arcsaber feel? Well it seems so with many people that have already gotten their hands on one reporting that it seems a good update.
The Arcsaber 11 Pro has many people saying it feels like the original Arcsaber 11 only better.
Pricing / Availability
It’s worth noting that not every region of the world is getting all three versions of the Arcsaber 11. For instance the TOUR version is not going to be available in the UK. So it’s worth checking with your local stockist / stores to see which versions are to be sold in your country / region.
Looking around online the Arcsaber PRO seems to have a RRP of £170 / €220 / $235 (US) / $304 (CAN) / ₹17990 however it seems to be available to purchase for quite a bit less. There are listings at the time of writing for £153 / €150 / $235 (US) / ₹14250.
Moving on to the Arcsaber TOUR this one seems to widely available in Europe with prices starting at around €150.
Meanwhile the Arcsaber PLAY is available for around £45 / $75 / ₹3249.
